The Tapestry for Peace, originally a Denver Branch project, was created by many hundreds of people from around the
United States. Each panel represents an individual group's sense of
peace. Together, the tapestry reflects the diverse nature of our
common desire for a peaceful world.

Pictured above with panels from the Tapestry for Peace, NLAPW Denver Branch member Eve Mackintosh originated the idea for a Tapestry for
Peace, a 300-foot-long work that includes stitches by women
throughout the country. Eva died unexpectedly Nov. 27, 2005 from the
effects of a stroke. She was 76.
