PEN WOMEN SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS

 Most meetings will be held at: The Denver Public Library, Bear Valley Branch 5171 West Dartmouth Avenue,  Denver, CO 80236

Location: By the Bear Valley Shopping center, just north of the intersection of Sheridan and Hampden. From that intersection, drive north on Sheridan about four blocks to Dartmouth. Turn right at the stoplight. The library driveway entrance is about a block east of Sheridan on your left—there is plenty of parking. Our meeting room is to the right just inside the main entrance. Some meetings will be followed by a potluck lunch; for others, we’ll adjourn to a nearby restaurant or bring brown bag lunches.

Note: Library meetings in 2009 must be confirmed, since the library cannot reserve space yet for 2009. You’ll be advised via our monthly minutes and meeting notices.

 Our presenter will be Kenn Amdahl—Denver singer, songwriter, book writer, publisher and raconteur. He's also a past president of National Writers' Association. His talk, entitled "Creating Your Own Voice," will be filled with humor-laced anecdotes and stories, and will be both informative and intriguing.

Sat., December 13, 2008 — BV Library — Holiday Potluck & Book Exchange

11:00 am (PLEASE NOTE THE later starting time) 
 

Bring something for the potluck and book to exchange. Your book—used or new, hardback or paperback—must be wrapped so no one can see its title.
 

Sat., January 3, 2009 —  BV Library — Feedback Session
11:30 am Meet at Cici's Pizza, which is about half a block from our meeting location.  Cici's is just to the south of the library, on the east side of Sheridan, to the left (east) of King Soopers. It's a buffet, so come when you can and join the group. For $5.49, you get all you can eat: a nice salad bar and about 10 kinds of pizza, including two dessert pizzas. There's also a pasta of the day and sauce. Drinks are extra. Seniors (55+) get a dollar off (ask for your discount). Salad bar only is $3.99.

11:00 am (PLEASE NOTE THE LATER STARTING TIME) When you arrive be sure to take time to smell the roses at the home of Phyllis Brees Eberhard and husband Rodger, 569 W. DOUGLAS DR. Dress is casual, but do be sure to wear a hat for protection from the many nesting birds around Phyl's patio. We will be planning our 2009-2010 program.
